Accessibility Statement
Our commitment
UCare wants this site to be usable by everyone, including people who browse with a screen reader, a keyboard alone, magnification, or captions.
The standard we work to
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA.
This site has not yet been formally audited, and we are not claiming full conformance. Saying otherwise before testing would be the kind of claim this organization does not make. We are working toward it and this statement will be updated when an assessment has been completed.
What we have done
Text and background colors are checked against WCAG contrast ratios.
Visible focus outlines on every link, button and form field.
Text resizes without breaking the layout.
Images that carry meaning have text alternatives.
Animation respects the reduced-motion setting on your device.
Known limitations
The donation form is provided by Donorbox and the payment step by Stripe. We do not control their accessibility, though both publish their own statements.
Some older posts and documents may not meet the standard.
PDFs published before date may not be tagged for screen readers.
Tell us if something does not work
If any part of this site is a barrier for you, write to hope@giveucare.org and tell us what you were trying to do. We aim to reply within five working days and to offer the information another way while we fix the problem.
